Linda Alt, Valley View Precinct Committee person, was born and raised in Bonners Ferry graduating from Bonners Ferry High School in 1964. Her
father was a logger and mother was a stay-at-home mom. After attending the University of Idaho for 2 years she came back to Bonners having decided
she did not want to be a school teacher. After working at Don’s Cafe for a summer, she was employed by First Security Bank for 8 years both full and
part-time. After staying home with the boys for several years, she began working for the Boundary County School district for 10 years, first at
Naples Elementary and then Bonners Ferry High School. Then she went to work at the Auto License Department in the Boundary County Courthouse
where she worked for 19 years, retiring as Supervisor in 2011. She has been active in many community organizations over the years trying to be a
positive role model for the county. She is married to John Alt who is also retired. They have lived on a farm in Paradise Valley, where they raised
their three sons, for the past nearly 49 years.
