Larry was raised in Blue Lake, CA. and attended Arcata High School. He joined the Air Force after high school and served from 1960  to 1964. He met his wife Wilma while stationed in Spokane, WA. They had three children. He worked in the logging industry for a few years  in Northern California  before entering the electrical field.  They moved to Boundary County  in 1973 at which time Larry worked at L.P. mill as an electrician.  In 1976 he started his own electrical contracting company.  Larry is currently semi- retired and enjoys time with friends and family.
