avid Kramer is the Republican nominee for Boundary County Sheriff after an overwhelming win in the 2016 May  Primary Election.  Kramer has the experience, leadership and community involvement that makes him the only choice for Sheriff.

His law enforcement experience spans over 40 years, from a Law Enforcement Explorer with the Boundary County Sheriffs Office, Cadet with CDA Police Dept., Reserve Deputy with Boundary County Sheriffs Office and Patrolman, Asst. Chief and Police Chief with Bonners Ferry Police.  He is currently a Police Officer with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho.

Being involved with the community is an asset for the Sheriff, with expansive knowledge of the community as well as serving the community as a volunteer.  Kramer remains an active volunteer of Boundary Search and Dive Rescue, and was one of the co-founders of a Dive Rescue Team.  He has been a member for over 30 years.  He has also served the community as a volunteer on Boundary Ambulance, as an EMT for approximately 12 years.  Another passion for Kramer is helping Special Olympic Athletes, where he has served as a volunteer coach and on the State Law Enforcement Torch Run Board, and has been selected and participated on several International Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Legs to benefit Special Olympics.
